Production Continues!

Here are some more of the "Moxie Chick" books I've been working on for the art barn show I will be in. They turned out so cool! I don't want to sell them!

Between all the work with my journals, I can't tell the original color of the skin on my hands. My girls think it's so funny that I my hands have all different colors of paint and dye on them all the time. Forget nail polish!

This next book is one of my favorites. I do believe I will be keeping this book and not selling it. However, I may use it to keep track of my sales (yes, think positively) and customers in.

She's so crazy in her style but yet, so darn cute. I could be her, really I could.

While I was trying to think up ideas on how these little journals could be used, I also came up with the idea that they could just be left on the counter by the phone for phone messages.

Or often times, because my husband works very early in the morning and goes to be before the sun does, I think of things I wanted to tell him after he's asleep. So I write down little notes and leave them by his coffee maker so that he can answer them in the morning. We could use one of my books for that!

Moxie Chick Books

I've been slaving (ha ha) away at creating little journal books for the art show I will be in come Nov. 12. It is so fun to see how each book turns into it's own character as I keep adding to it.

These could be used as diaries, or day to day journals. They could be gratitude books, a  recipe books or  "keep track of your diet" books!

They could be used as the famous "little-black-book" with special phone numbers or as address books. Right? Who has those any more with modern technology? I'd rather use this chunky book and fill it with torn off return labels from envelopes and numbers written on napkins than using a PDA. But that's just me!

Sometimes, I like to put quotes on the books. Like the one above and the one below. The one below could definitely be used for a recipe book or a diet charting book. However, most of the books, I like to leave up to the imagination of the user. They can decide what they want to use it for without a quote pre-suggesting what the book is for.

The backs are done up just as cute as the fronts. (See the two photos below.) The problem is, I want to keep them all!! They are all just too cute. And I have more to come. I'll be making  beaded ribbon book marks to go with them too. I just have to drive 40 minutes away to my nearest supply store to pick up some materials. Ohhhh, maybe one of the books could be used for making lists of art store supplies.....
