Felt Spring Wreath

I saw this beautiful wreath from Saffron Fields

and loved the idea so much that I made my own. It turned out nicely. I didn't want to copy exactly but I did love the colors she used. Here is my version.

I have been very busy trying to get some crafting done. I've started at least three new projects but run out of time everyday.

 My middle kid had her 10th b-day party. She chose to have a secrent agent CIA party. We had a lot of fun playing many games. The best was the lazer light maze game, in which I wrapped yarn all around my stairway and hall and tied jingle bells to the yarn. The kids had to climb through the maze trying not to make the bells jingle.

They played other games, like Name That Sound where they had to listen quietly while I played them soundbites from Sound Dogs and try to guess what mystery sound they were listening to. They had target practice with a nerf suction cup gun. They were blind folded and had to smell different scents in little medicine bottles. Some of the scents were fabric softener, soap, cinnamon, coffee etc. They guessed everyone! While they were blindfolded, they also had a taste test of different chocolates to see if they could identify chocolate. It was a lot of fun. The question mark cake was delicious too.

But the best part was all the money my daughter collected. We have a small four wheeler for the girls but they have to be 10 years old to ride it. So, this is her year to ride and she has been saving to buy her helmet. (A must in order to ride and one that we will not provide. Seeing how my dh and I bought the 4-wheeler, we decided the kids need to purchase the gas and their helmets.) SHe finally saved enough with the b-day money she received.

All in all it was a great birthday party.
